Some occasions call for more than dinner, drinks, and the same group photo everyone has taken a hundred times.
At Inner Me Studios, you can turn your next date, celebration, or personal goal into an experience built around movement, music, and plenty of personality. Work one-on-one with an instructor, learn choreography with your bridal party, or bring your favorite people together for a private dance party.
The first step is deciding what kind of experience you want.
Private Lesson or Private Dance Party?
Although both give you dedicated time with an Inner Me instructor, private lessons and private parties serve different purposes.
A private dance lesson is focused on learning. It is a good fit when you want to:
- Build your skills and confidence
- Receive personal feedback from an instructor
- Learn at your own pace
- Prepare choreography for a wedding or special event
- Practice with a partner or small group
- Work toward a specific dance goal
A private dance party is all about celebrating together. Your group gets its own dance experience led by an instructor, with a theme that matches the mood you want to create.
Private parties are popular for:
- Birthdays
- Bachelorette parties
- Girls’ nights out
- Bridal parties
- Reunions
- Date nights
- “Just because” celebrations
You do not need dance experience for either option. Come ready to move, laugh, and try something new. Inner Me will meet you where you are.
Choose the Dance Experience That Fits Your Group
This is where the fun begins.
Inner Me offers private party themes including pole dancing, hip-hop, twerk, stilettos, chair dancing, burlesque, line dancing, and Beyoncé-inspired dance. You can even ask about creating a customized theme for your group.
Think about the energy you want:
- Want something bold and empowering? Try pole, stilettos, or burlesque.
- Ready to turn up the energy? Hip-hop or twerk may be the answer.
- Want everyone dancing together? Choose line dancing.
- Planning a celebration worthy of Queen Bey? You already know what to pick
You can select one dance theme or add a second to keep the party going. If your group has different comfort levels, let Inner Me know. The goal is for everyone to feel included, not to see who can master the choreography first.
Planning a Private Lesson? Start With Your Goal
Private lessons are more personal, so it helps to know what you want from the experience.
Maybe you want individual attention before joining a group class. Perhaps you and your partner want to feel more comfortable dancing together. You might be preparing a performance, learning choreography for an event, or simply working on a skill you have always wanted to try.
You do not need to arrive with a full plan. Give your instructor a general idea of what you want to learn, your experience level, and how you would like to feel by the end of your sessions. From there, your lesson can be shaped around you.
Inner Me also offers group choreography for bridal parties and other events. This gives your group dedicated time to learn a custom dance together without trying to piece it together from online videos.
Know How Many People Are Coming
Inner Me can accommodate private dance parties ranging from two people to groups of up to 50. Getting an accurate headcount early will help the studio recommend the right setup for your event.
A small group can enjoy a more intimate experience, while a larger party brings plenty of energy and encouragement. Neither is better – it simply depends on how you want the event to feel.
Before booking, ask your guests to confirm that they are genuinely attending. A reliable headcount makes planning, pricing, and check-in easier for everyone.
Pick a Date Before Someone Else Does
Private parties at Inner Me are available daily between 9 a.m. and 11 p.m., but dates are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.
If you are planning a birthday, bachelorette party, or another date-specific celebration, book early. Popular evening and weekend times can go quickly, especially when several Houston events land on the same weekend.
Private appointments and choreography sessions also require advance scheduling. If you are learning a dance for an upcoming event, leave yourself enough time to practice between lessons. A little breathing room is much more enjoyable than trying to learn everything a few days before the big moment.
Dress to Move
You do not need an elaborate dance outfit unless dressing for the theme is part of the fun.
Choose clothing that lets you move comfortably and matches the type of class you selected. For a pole dancing session, shorts help your skin grip the pole, and lotion or body oil should be avoided on the day of your class. You may dance barefoot or in socks and add heels later if you choose.
Bring water, arrive with enough time to get settled, and ask Inner Me if you have questions about shoes or attire for your specific dance theme.
Most importantly, wear something that helps you feel comfortable and confident.
Add Your Own Personality
Your private dance experience does not have to feel generic. Choose music your group loves, coordinate outfits, plan a theme, or build in time for photos before everyone heads home.
Inner Me’s Houston studio includes multiple photo opportunities, a light room, changing space, and showers. Guests can also bring food or drinks without paying a setup fee, making it easy to turn the dance session into a more complete celebration.
Do not get so caught up in creating the “perfect” event that you forget to enjoy it, though. The best moments are usually the unplanned ones: someone discovering a hidden talent, the friend who swore she would not dance taking center stage, or the entire group losing it when the routine finally comes together.
Your Party. Your Music. Your Inner Me.
You do not need perfect rhythm, previous dance experience, or the confidence to walk in feeling fearless. That is what the experience is for.
Inner Me Studios creates a welcoming space where beginners and experienced dancers can learn, celebrate, and express themselves without judgment. Whether you want focused private instruction or a dance party your friends will still be talking about next year, we will help you make it your own.
